Build your foundation
For learners starting from zero or revisiting the basics. Get comfortable with Japanese sounds, the writing system and simple sentences before moving into everyday conversation.
Prepare for Japan
Focus on practical language for a more enjoyable visit. Practise the kinds of exchanges you are likely to have while travelling, with clear explanations to help you understand what you are saying.
Learn together
Join a structured class on Zoom and practise with your teacher and fellow learners. Group lessons give you a regular learning routine and the chance to hear different ways of expressing an idea.

6 lessons
60 minutes per lesson.
Start with hiragana, katakana and the foundations of Japanese pronunciation.
Levels N5–N1
90 minutes per lesson · up to 4–5 students.
A term includes 13 lessons over approximately 3 months. N5–N2 each comprise two terms.
2–3 students
60 minutes with 2 students; 90 minutes with 3 students.
For learners who have completed N5 and are comfortable with the te-form. A short speaking assessment helps us find a suitable class. Topics include travel and everyday life in Japan.
A package of 6 lessons
Approximately 60 minutes per lesson.
Work on your own goals, including conversation or Japanese for travel. We will confirm the lesson plan and fee before you enrol.

Build an understanding of useful expressions and sentence patterns with guidance in English.

Try what you have learned in practical speaking activities with a Japanese teacher.

Review your feedback and practise regularly so familiar patterns become easier to use.
